Stop carrying everyone else's emotions, needs, and problems.
Build self-trust. Feel lighter.
Finally put it down.Education, practical tools, and a community for women who have spent years managing everyone else's inner world - and are finally ready to stop.
If this sounds familiar...
You're the one people call in a crisis. You say yes before you've even checked with yourself. You can read a room before you've taken your coat off. You don't know how to relax until you've confirmed everyone around you is okay.
And you've probably been told your whole life that this makes you a good person. Empathetic. Caring.
It does! And it's also costing you more than anyone sees.
This isn't about becoming someone who cares less. It's about learning - finally - that caring doesn't have to mean carrying.
You've spent your whole life...
reading the room
fixing problems
anticipating needs
holding everything together
You thought you were just...
empathetic.
Helpful.
The strong one.
But what if your nervous system simply never learned it was safe to stop putting everyone first?
You're not broken. You adapted…
Somewhere along the way you learned that love was something you had to earn, maintain, and monitor. When you grow up learning that love, safety, or approval depends on keeping everyone else okay...
your brain becomes incredibly good at scanning.
Hypervigilance notices the emotion. Hyper-responsibility picks it up.
That's why simply "setting boundaries" has never been enough.
You aren't lacking willpower.
Your nervous system still believes everyone else's wellbeing is your job.
This is not therapyIt's education, tools, and support with a nervous system lens.
AK Alignment & Growth is where I put everything I know about over-giving, hypervigilance, over-responsibility, people-pleasing, and the fawn response - into formats
you can actually use.
Inside you'll find
• Workbooks
• Workshops
• Community
• Courses
• Practical nervous system tools
• Scripts
• Reflection exercises
You don’t need another person telling you to “just set boundaries.” You need to change your relationship to over-responsibility.
Start Here: Three Paths
I'm just realizing this is me.
Not sure where to start? Take the quiz and find out which over-giver nervous system pattern is running the show.
I'm ready to stop doing this.
The full digital bundle - 70 page over-giving workbook, integration guide to learn exercises to actually do something different, and 7 video modules from me teaching the material.
I want more support.
The full bundle plus a 12 week group and community of women to help bring the insight into change.
I know this pattern because I've spent years helping women untangle it.
After working with hundreds of women (and of course experiencing it myself)...
I noticed something! Almost none of them actually struggled with caring too much.
They struggled with believing they were responsible for everyone else's emotions. And that it was on them to change, fix or manage them.
That's what eventually became the foundation of AK Alignment & Growth.
So if you've found this page, I'm guessing you're the kind of person who has spent a lot of your life making sure everyone around you is okay - before you even think about whether you are.
You're probably really good at it. That's kind of the whole problem.
You didn't come here because something is wrong with you.
You came here because you're tired. Tired of being the one who holds it together. Tired of saying yes when you mean no. Tired of lying awake replaying conversations, managing other people's moods, and feeling responsible for things that were never actually yours to carry.
You've probably already done some work on this - read the books, listened to the podcasts, maybe even been in therapy. You get it, intellectually. You can name the patterns.
And you're still doing them.
That gap - between knowing and actually changing - is exactly what this is about.
Here's a little about me.
Hi! I’m Alyssa. I'm a licensed therapist (LCSW) with a private practice focused on relational trauma, over-givers, and women who are over responsible and I've spent years sitting across from women who are brilliant, self-aware, and completely exhausted from over-functioning - and watching them slowly realize that what they thought was just "being a good person" was actually a nervous system pattern they learned before they were old enough to question it.
AK Alignment & Growth is where I take everything I know from that clinical work and put it into formats that don't require a weekly appointment. Workbooks. Workshops. Group containers. Tools you can come back to when the pattern shows back up - because it will, and that's not a failure, that's just how this works.
I'm not going to tell you this is easy or that one workbook will fix everything. But I will tell you that understanding what's actually happening - in your body, not just your head - changes things. And that's what everything here is built around.
Here’s What Changes
✓ You stop checking everyone's mood before your own.
✓ You stop apologizing for having needs.
✓ You stop feeling responsible for fixing every conflict.
✓ Boundaries become uncomfortable...
instead of impossible.
✓ You trust yourself again.
What Women Are SayingLearned to set boundaries
"I can finally identify my own needs, communicate them, and hold boundaries. Before, I would freeze or have a physical reaction."
-Former Group Member
Finally saw the pattern
“Learning what was happening in my body-and where my people-pleasing came from-helped me finally understand patterns I'd struggled with for years."
-Former Group Member
Finally feel
lighter
“The biggest shift for me was the feeling of relief after finally naming what I'd been carrying. I could literally feel the heaviness leave my shoulders, head, and stomach."

FAQs
What services do you offer?
1
Self-paced resources and live programs for women who are exhausted from over-giving, people-pleasing, and carrying everyone else's emotions. That includes the Over-Giver Reset Workbook, the Over-Responsibility Reset (my complete self-paced system with video modules), live workshops, and a 12-week group program. Everything is grounded in nervous system education, attachment science, and the real tools I use in my practice.
Is this therapy?
2
No. My workbooks, courses, workshops, and group programs are educational and skills-based - they are not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for mental health treatment. I'm a licensed therapist, and everything I create is informed by that clinical experience, but these offerings are for learning and personal growth. If you're in crisis or need clinical support, please reach out to a licensed provider in your area.
Where should I start?
3
Start with the free quiz to find out which of the four over-giving patterns is running the show for you - the Hypervigilant Emotional Manager, the Hyper-Responsible Rescuer, the Peacekeeper, or the Hyper-Independent Strong One. From there, the workbook or the full Reset bundle is the best next step. If you want to do this work live with other women, join the waitlist for my next group program.
